It’s Washington Post week. Two articles in one week.
This one shares one of our core convictions: the church belongs in the middle of the marketplace. That’s why we built a coffeehouse–a place where the church and community could cross paths. That’s why we’re opening a single-screen theater. It’s business as mission and every penny of profit goes to local community causes as well as our overseas endeavors. It’s coffee with a cause and movies with a mission.
A church that lives within its four walls isn’t a church at all. You can’t wait for people tocome to you. You’ve got to go to them. That’s the example Jesus set.
